Digital SIM technology

eSIMs are a digital version of the traditional SIM card that can be downloaded or pushed directly to a device without the need for physical installation. This makes it possible to manage M2M and IoT devices more efficiently by removing the physical limitations of traditional SIM cards.

Scalable provisioning

An eSIM can be pushed to a range of devices at once via software, API calls or download, for example by using QR codes to retrieve the information.

eSIM solutions for small IoT installations

This solution is well suited for use cases where each IoT device requires a unique eSIM profile, where the number of devices is low, or where precision control of individual devices is desired. Use case: Monitoring systems for remote areas, e.g., environmental monitoring of air quality, temperatures, and pH values, where each sensor in the network is equipped with a unique eSIM profile. 

eSIMs for thousands of IoT devices via one QR code

This solution is suitable for large IoT implementations where devices can be activated with a single generic string/QR code. During implementation, NexCon.io’s system automatically determines which eSIM is next in line, so that each device is automatically assigned its own eSIM. This makes deployment and management significantly easier as it is possible to apply the same eSIM configuration to 1,000+ devices in one go.  Use case:  Smartwatches with built-in fall alarms. With a generic eSIM solution, devices can be easily activated without keeping track of unique QR codes for each device, which allows technicians to quickly and efficiently add new smartwatches to the network without worrying about re-ordering codes.
