Digital SIM technology
eSIMs are digital SIM cards that can be downloaded or pushed directly to devices, making M2M and IoT deployments faster and easier to manage.
As a NexCon.io customer, you can purchase eSIMs that allow you to connect devices worldwide in a smart, secure and flexible way.

eSIMs open up a range of new opportunities that were previously impossible or unprofitable.
eSIMs are digital SIM cards that can be downloaded or pushed directly to devices, making M2M and IoT deployments faster and easier to manage.
An eSIM can be pushed to a range of devices at once via software, API calls or download, for example by using QR codes to retrieve the information.
NexCon.io supports generic eSIM profiles, where you can create any number of eSIMs via an LPA string.
It is possible to apply the same eSIM configuration to thousands of devices at once, saving a lot of time in the implementation phase.
Whether you need 10 or 100,000 eSIMs, we have the right solution for your needs.

This solution is well suited for use cases where each IoT device requires a unique eSIM profile, where the number of devices is low, or where precision control of individual devices is desired.
Use case: Monitoring systems for remote areas, e.g., environmental monitoring of air quality, temperatures, and pH values, where each sensor in the network is equipped with a unique eSIM profile.
This solution is suitable for large IoT implementations where devices can be activated with a single generic string/QR code. During implementation, NexCon.io's system automatically determines which eSIM is next in line, so that each device is automatically assigned its own eSIM. This makes deployment and management significantly easier as it is possible to apply the same eSIM configuration to 1,000+ devices in one go.
Use case: Smartwatches with built-in fall alarms. With a generic eSIM solution, devices can be easily activated without keeping track of unique QR codes for each device, which allows technicians to quickly and efficiently add new smartwatches to the network without worrying about re-ordering codes.

The dashboard puts you in the driver's seat and gives you in-depth control of all your eSIMs.
Gain valuable insights with a complete overview of your eSIM data usage. Segment your eSIMs by creating and adding tags, use filters for precise searches and use our mass-action feature to make changes to all eSIMs at once.

NexCon.io's eSIM solutions are designed to help your business get the most out of your IoT infrastructure. Our scalable and secure platform makes it possible to handle everything from small to large-scale IoT deployments, no matter where in the world your devices are located.
With our advanced eSIM technology that follows GSMA standards, you can minimize operational costs, maximize uptime and ensure your devices are always online, regardless of their location.
eSIMs are a digital version of the traditional SIM card that can be downloaded or pushed directly to a device without the need for physical installation.
Yes, the device must have internet access when provisioning the eSIM, typically via Wi-Fi or existing mobile connection.
You get eSIM profiles via our platform, which you then provision to your devices.
No. The term embedded SIM (often in MFF2 hardware format) refers to a physical UICC chip that is soldered into the device (not removable). eSIM (in a telecom context) refers to a UICC architecture with remote provisioning (OTA), often implemented via eUICC standards from GSMA. This means that SIM profiles can be downloaded, installed, and changed via the network, without physically replacing the card. An embedded SIM in hardware (MFF2) can have eUICC compatibility, giving it the functional characteristics of eSIM. However, not all hardware-embedded SIMs need to have remote provisioning - it depends on the design and which version of chip/firmware is used.
Yes, our eSIMs support both NB-IoT and LTE-M depending on the network coverage in the area.
Coverage with eSIMs is exactly the same as the coverage we offer with standard IoT SIM cards, i.e. 525+ networks in over 190 countries.
NexCon.io offers eSIMs for IoT and industrial solutions. However, our upcoming sister platform, MondoMate, will offer travel eSIMs to consumers worldwide. You will be able to read more about this in the near future.
Consumer eSIMs are for smartphones and wearables, while IoT eSIMs are optimized for machines, sensors and industrial applications.
